We are investing in the next generation, with all new one-of-a-kindness corporate eco gift option for corporate and community groups, working with young leaders keen to share stories to keep Tiwi language and culture strong.
Designed by young Tiwi artist Phylisia Palipuaminni via sketch, with digital artwork and colourway by Tiwi graphic artist - Clair Helen.
Artists story ~
"Yirrikipayi (crocodile) 🐊 is my totem from the Tiwi Islands. It has been passed down from our great grandfather, grandfather and fathers. In Tiwi history we follow our father's side for our totem and our tribe is Tarnikinni (flying fox) 🦇 and my skin group is sun ☀️ - from my mother's side"
A former graduate of Haileybury Rendall School - Phylly was a recipient of our Higher Attire initiative and has her graduation photo featured on our home page.
Phylly now works at Wurrumiyanga as an Education Assistant and is deepening her knowledge of Tiwi language, playing football in the TIFL and NTFL and caring for family.
